How To Look Up St Louis County Mugshots Without Fees
In St. Louis County, the county jail and inmate corrections are managed by the Justice Services.1 As part of keeping track of individuals in their custody, they have a jail roster where you can browse inmate details.2
You’d need to provide both the first and last names of the inmate to begin searching. Results will then list the inmates that match the criteria. It provides the following details:

- Birth Year
- Races
- Sexes
- Facilities where they’re held
However, it isn’t certain that you’ll find mugshots in the results. As an alternative to this, you can submit a Sunshine Request online to ask for reports. It’s ideal to contact the Justice Services first at (314.615.5245) or [email protected] to know what records they provide.
After that, you’d need to type in the description of the requested document and your information as the requester. To make sure that they receive your request, select ‘Justice Services’ under the department drop-down menu.
For police reports, you can likewise submit a Sunshine Request, providing the details above. However, you must select ‘St. Louis Police Department’ this time for the department. The St Louis County Department of Justice Services handles the county jail and corrections.1 With the aim to rehabilitate offenders and make it easier for them to reenter the community once they’re released, the department offers the following services:
Phone Services: Only outgoing calls from the inmates are allowed and it’s on a collect call basis. Inmates can make unlimited calls from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. but each call can only last for 30 minutes.

Send Money: You can send money to an inmate to fund their commissary account for purchasing necessary items and their phone & tablet account.
Visit: You can visit a family or friend in custody from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., any day in the week, but it can only last for 40 minutes. You can also choose video visitation through Securus or call (+1.800.844.6591).
Post Bail: You can post bond for individuals in custody at the Justice Services’ Bonding Office 24/7.5 The office is located in the Justice Services building.

How To See Police Photographs via Municipalities Within St Louis County
Mugshots and other arrest details can also be obtained from local city police departments. You may find this option useful especially for local arrests or recent arrests that aren’t showing up via county resources.
Florissant is the biggest municipality in St. Louis County by population. The Florissant Police Department maintains a news section online that the public can access. You can view police photographs in articles about arrests along with the narrative about the incident.6
Knowing the date of the event will help you if you’re looking for a specific individual. Otherwise, you can just browse through the list of press releases by the department.

On the other hand, you can access inmate information via the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) if you’re curious about individuals held in a federal correctional facility. Although offender photos aren’t available, relevant details will be displayed in the results just by entering the inmate’s name or BOP number.
